In 2022 and 2023, we completely renovated the Schleiferei II industrial monument, which now houses a total of six separate, modern holiday apartments. When designing, we followed the maxim of identifying and developing the particular charm of the historic building. Visible screet floors, raw masonry walls and exposed steel structural elements could thus be combined to create a harmonious overall impression. This is complemented by furniture that consist of a combination of vintage elements and modern design. For example, table tops were made from historic roof beams and combined with contemporary steel elements, beds were manufactured according to our own designs and juxtaposed with timeless design classics. The individual lighting concept highlights the particular features of each individual apartment.
The spacious apartment #1, “Wiese” is located on the ground floor of Schleiferei II. It has a private terrace and is directly adjacent to the communal garden. The apartment is furnished modern and to a high standard, and its character is defined by high-rise rooms and arched windows.
The 85m2 large apartment consists of two bedrooms with dressing rooms, a combined living, dining and cooking area and bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers best conditions for ambitious cooking. The apartment is barrier-free. A storage room for bicycles can be shared on request.
The private terrace and direct access to the communal garden with a large sandpit and other accommodation options complement the apartment for an ideal family stay. The accommodation can also be used as a cozy base camp for trips into the wonderful nature of the Harz Mountains - and of course as a place for a relaxing break...
The apartment is designed for four people (basic price). Extra beds are not possible, a baby cot is available free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed in this apartment.

It's truly incredible what Friederike and Hartmut have created and accomplished with this "lost place." We spent 5 days in the "Wiese" apartment in the summer with two children and two adults, and it was fantastic! It was a matter of arriving and immediately feeling comfortable. The apartment is beautiful, and the outdoor area is well designed. The apartment lacks nothing, and we had everything we needed for the days. For the children, it was a dream as they could open the front door and start digging in the large sandbox right away. Friederike and Hartmut were in the apartment next door at the same time and gave us many tips. From the apartment, you can start beautiful tours, and you don't have to drive far. An excellently renovated industrial monument in a secluded location. Peace, idyll, and design are guaranteed. Nothing remains of the 70s charm of the Harz that used to deter us from vacationing in this region. High-quality and tastefully furnished holiday apartments, parking included. The property is completely fenced. We lived on the ground floor and had a terrace right in front of the apartment, simply perfect for us and our dogs.
