In 2022 and 2023, we completely renovated the Schleiferei II industrial monument, which now houses a total of six separate, modern holiday apartments. When designing, we followed the maxim of identifying and developing the particular charm of the historic building. Visible screet floors, raw masonry walls and exposed steel structural elements could thus be combined to create a harmonious overall impression. This is complemented by furniture that consist of a combination of vintage elements and modern design. For example, table tops were made from historic roof beams and combined with contemporary steel elements, beds were manufactured according to our own designs and juxtaposed with timeless design classics. The individual lighting concept highlights the particular features of each individual apartment.
The spacious apartment #3, “Sky” is located on the upper floor of Schleiferei II. From here you have a beautiful view of the large communal garden. The apartment is furnished modern and to a high standard and its character is defined by high-rise rooms and visible steel beams.
The 85m2 large apartment consists of two bedrooms, a combined living, dining and kitchen area and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers best conditions for ambitious cooking. The apartment is accessible via an external staircase. A storage room for bicycles can be shared on request.
The apartment is perfect for a family stay, even with a dog. The location on the upper floor offers both an ideal retreat and a wonderful view of the Harz Mountains and our beautiful communal garden, where a sunny outdoor seating area and the large sandpit invite you to relax in nature. The accommodation can also be used as a cozy base camp for trips into the wonderful nature of the Harz Mountains - and of course as a place for a relaxing break...
The apartment is designed for four people (basic price). An extra bed for children up to 12 years old is available at additional cost, a baby cot is available free of charge upon request. The apartment can be combined with the neighboring apartment #4, “Forest” via the common entrance area and thus also offer privacy for larger families or groups. A pet is allowed in this apartment upon request.

The holiday apartments impress with their industrial charm, the interior is coordinated in terms of color, everything appears coherent, harmonious, and high-quality, with a lot of attention to detail. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the kitchen is a dream and has everything you need for a stay, including coffee, spices, oil & vinegar, and an apron. The large dining table with multiple seats also offers space to spontaneously welcome guests. The outdoor area is fenced and has a great sandbox, so the children can play under supervision.
