In 2022 and 2023, we completely renovated the Schleiferei II industrial monument, which now houses a total of six separate, modern holiday apartments. When designing, we followed the maxim of identifying and developing the particular charm of the historic building. Visible screet floors, raw masonry walls and exposed steel structural elements could thus be combined to create a harmonious overall impression. This is complemented by furniture that consist of a combination of vintage elements and modern design. For example, table tops were made from historic roof beams and combined with contemporary steel elements, beds were manufactured according to our own designs and juxtaposed with timeless design classics. The individual lighting concept highlights the particular features of each individual apartment.
The spacious apartment #4, “Forest” is located on the upper floor of Schleiferei II. From here you have a beautiful view of the river Sieber and of the forest. The apartment is furnished modern and to a high standard, its character is defined by high-rise rooms and visible steel beams.
The 85m2 large apartment consists of two bedrooms, a combined living, dining and kitchen area and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers best conditions for ambitious cooking. The apartment is accessible via an external staircase. A storage room for bicycles can be shared on request.
The apartment is ideal for a family stay, even with a dog. The location on the upper floor offers both an ideal retreat and a wonderful view of the lively Harz Mountains. The sound of the river Sieber and the forest is omnipresent here. In the beautiful communal garden, sunlit outdoor seating and the large sandpit invite you to relax in nature. The accommodation can also be used as a cozy base camp for trips into the wonderful nature of the Harz Mountains - and of course as a place for a relaxing break...
The apartment is designed for four people (basic price). An extra bed for children up to 12 years of age is available at an additional cost, a baby cot is available free of charge upon request. The apartment can be combined with the neighboring apartment #3, “Sky” via the common entrance area and thus also offer privacy for larger families or groups. A pet is allowed in this apartment upon request.

We had a wonderful weekend in an absolutely fantastic accommodation! It was very spacious, had two equivalent bedrooms with comfortable beds and cozy blankets. It was very clean and lovingly & stylishly furnished. Everything exactly as in the photos. The kitchen equipment is phenomenal: espresso machine and otherwise everything that belongs in a fully equipped kitchen! We started hiking directly from the accommodation and enjoyed the surroundings very much. The contact with Friederike was uncomplicated and very pleasant.
